Dimitris Giannoulis has penned an emotional Norwich City farewell
The Greek international formed part of the Canaries’ released and retained list and will depart the club on a free transfer with his contract not being renewed.
Giannoulis would have been open to talks had Norwich gained promotion via the play-offs, but the financial reality of another year of Championship football has seen him depart the club alongside Ben Gibson, Sam McCallum and Danny Batth.
He played 103 games for the Canaries since his move from PAOK in 2021, which was initially a season-long loan but became an obligation to buy upon promotion to the Premier League.
Giannoulis was a popular figure among City supporters and held the club in high esteem, thoroughly enjoying his spell in Norfolk.
Writing on his social media, the left-back expressed his gratitude to the fanbase and those responsible for bringing him to England as he reflected on his spell at Carrow Road.
