The Texas Longhorns have yet to land a receiver in their 2025 recruiting class, but there is a ton of noise around them, and two of the best in the country.
It started recently when the No. 1 wide receiver in the country, Dakorien Moore, backed off his pledge from LSU. The Longhorns immediately emerged as the favorites, and while Moore has three visits scheduled, Texas is viewed as the team to beat. They also may be in prime position to add the most dynamic player in the country, Michael Terry III.
The five-star athlete stands at 6-foot-3, and is viewed as a Cordarrelle Patterson-like player that can play receiver, running back, or be a mismatch nightmare at tight end. He is someone who can also play on the defensive side of the ball if he wants to, but based on the fact that Chris Jackson is his primary, the Longhorns clearly want him on offense.
He has set a few officials, and seeing Austin is on the docket.
Terry currently has two visits scheduled for June and took one to Nebraska in April. The Longhorns will host him on June 7, while Texas A&M will welcome him to College Station on June 13.
According to 247Sports, Terry ranks as the No. 1 athlete in the country. This past season saw him rush for 995 yards and 20 scores, while adding 564 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, while also securing a pick 6 on defense.
