Now that the season has finally come to a conclusion, Sunderland can focus on appointing a new manager and adding some new players.
Any transfer rumors on Wearside have remained silent, indicating that Sunderland’s top priority has been selecting a new head coach.
They do appear to be starting to let go, though, as rumors have it that Bradley Dack and Corry Evans will both be released when their contracts expire.
In addition, the Black Cats may lose some of its star players to Premier League teams, including Anthony Patterson, Dan Neil, and Jack Clarke.
Even though they will probably receive high fees for the fans’ favorites, they may still have difficulty raising the necessary funds to sign a squad of players that are eager to compete for promotion.
However, Sunderland might not need to spend big money in every position because several players demoted to League One can be available for less than expected.
These are five players that Sunderland could consider relegating.
