OXNARD, California — A rushing back for the Dallas Cowboys who excelled at a high school in North Texas has been suspended for the first two games of the 2023 regular season.
Ronald Jones, who signed with Dallas in March, was found to have broken the NFL’s rules regarding performance-enhancing drugs, the league said on Monday. He is not getting paid while on suspension.
Jones is still permitted to take part in all preseason drills and games, according to the NFL.
Jones won’t be eligible for the club until Week 3 of the regular season, which is before to the team’s game against the Arizona Cardinals on September 24, even if he makes the final roster.
