West Brom: An update on Corberan’s “top-class” player’s injury

An analyst has given the Hawthorns management an update on one of his senior players.

West Bromwich Albion will be without one of its senior players for the next several months due to injury, and an expert has revealed when he feels he will be able to make his recovery.

What is the most recent injury news from West Brom?
With Daryl Dike out with an achilles injury since last season and not expected to return until at least December, Carlos Corberan’s latest blow came in the form of Josh Maja, who has torn some of his ankle ligaments and is expected to return following the international break in November.

The Baggies manager, on the other hand, has received a boost in the form of Erik Pieters, who is expected to be fit for selection against Preston on Saturday after being forced off the pitch with muscular tightness during the most recent 0-0 Championship draw against Millwall.

Adam Reach, who walked off the pitch during the 2-2 draw with Burton Albion in pre-season with a quad injury, has recently undergone surgery to assist cure the problem as soon as possible.

Despite this, the midfielder will be unable to return to action for some time, with a medical specialist sharing the realistic timeframe that the 30-year-old may strive for as a return date.

How long will Adam Reach out last?
Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar indicated to West Brom News that Reach may not be ready to join the first-team until December, but that he may begin to build up his fitness at the training site in November.

“His injury is a recurrence of a quadriceps strain sustained in April.” His return timeframe appears to be in December, thus mid to late November for light training could be a fair goal. Given his recent surgery, he’ll most likely be taking it easy for the next few days.”

How talented is Adam Reach?
While Reach was previously dubbed a “top-class pro” by West Brom’s former manager Steve Bruce for the professional manner in which he conducts himself, he has yet to make a single appearance this season, albeit through no fault of his own, and it is unlikely that he will be able to stake his claim in the starting squad under Corberan upon his return.

England’s former youth international, who is naturally left-footed, was only the club’s 24th best-performing player out of 31 squad members last season, according to WhoScored, demonstrating how little of an impact he was able to make when given the opportunity to play, failing to demonstrate to the boss what he’s capable of.

Furthermore, according to Capology, Reach currently earns £40k per week, making him the highest earner at the Hawthorns; therefore, Midlands bosses should get him off their books next year, especially with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, and use the extra cash to generate funds for future signings.
