Aston Villa team coach ‘bricked’ after Burnley victory as police sent footage
Aston Villa’s team bus reportedly suffered ‘significant damage’.
Aston Villa’s team coach was significantly damaged with bricks after Sunday’s win over Burnley at Turf Moor, according to reports. A brace from Matty Cash helped Villa into an early lead before the hosts managed to hit back through Lyle Foster, although Moussa Diaby struck late on to wrap up all three points.
The result marked a third straight win in all competitions for Villa, who have taken six points from their opening trio of Premier League matches. Things reportedly turned sour as their players and staff left Turf Moor, though, with The Athletic claiming that Villa’s team coach was ‘bricked’.
It is said that ‘significant damage’ was done to the front window of the coach, while video footage from the incident is thought to have been passed on to the police. Express Sport have reached out to Lancashire Police for comment.
It came after Villa had condemned Burnley to their second defeat in as many Premier League outings since they were promoted from the Championship last season. The Clarets fought valiantly against superior opposition but ultimately came up short, with Villa’s quality shining through over the course of the match
