Deion “Coach Prime” SandersShedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and the rest of the Colorado Buffaloes arrived in San Antonio, Texas, with the simple goal of reversing a trend: win a Valero Alamo Bowl.

The 9-3 team will play in their fourth Alamo Bowl in program history on Saturday when they meet fellow Big 12 member BYU (10-2) at the Alamodome. The two teams tied for first in the Big 12 regular season standings with 7-2 conference marks, but did not play in the regular season.

Colorado is the top drawing card for the game. The Buffaloes feature this year’s Heisman Trophy winner, two-way star Travis Hunter, as well as another Heisman finalist, quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Both are expected to be among the top five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and it’s possible that they could go 1-2.

Shedeur is getting used to the idea of playing for the Giants

Shedeur Sanders is getting used to the idea that he might end up being the No. 1 pick in next spring’s NFL Draft, and there’s a big chance that the team that gets the honor is the New York Giants, one of the most dysfunctional teams in recent history with a terrible record to show for.

Insiders and sports media analysts have said that Giants’ General Manager Joe Schoen and New York’s assistant GM Brandon Brown are moving aggressively to set up the best scenario that would allow them to pick Sanders at the Draft.

n a video posted on social media, we see Shedeur Sanders and his brother and teammate, Colorado’s safety Shilo Sanders, warming up in a football field while talking about the superstar quarterback’s future and what does he think of what could be his home at least for his first years in the NFL.

Hey, we know where we’re going, baby. You’ll see him in the cleats later on this week.” says Shedeur Sanders to his brother Shilo. “A team might trade up.”, replies the defensive player. “You can’t go higher than No. 1.” Shedeur answered with a smile.

According to ESPN, the New York Giants have a 37% chance of earning the No. pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. “The Giants have to be all-in on a quarterback after releasing a former first-rounder in Daniel Jones (…) Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is my top-ranked quarterback in the class. His surgical accuracy, toughness in the pocket, advanced field vision and knack for explosive plays make him the best option for New York.” Matt Miller from ESPN wrote.

Shedeur Sanders won the Johnny Unitas Award after he led the nation in completion percentage (74.2%) and finished as the only quarterback in the top five of passing yards (3,926), touchdowns (35), completions per game (28.1) and quarterback rating (168.79).

In recent years, it has become a trend in college football for players projected to go high in the draft to skip bowl games unless they were involved in the playoffs. But “Coach Prime” made it clear from the beginning that he expected his star players to participate.
