Bayern Munich are ‘getting closer’ to securing a deal for Tottenham’s Harry Kane, with ‘constant contacts’ underway over a transfer.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the striker is the German champions’ ‘main target’ as they continue to search for Roberto Lewandowski’s replacement.
The German giants had presented an ‘initial offer’ to Tottenham worth €70m plus bonuses but that was rejected outright by Spurs
The two clubs are in ‘constant contact’ about the potential transfer though, and according to TMW’s information are negotiating a deal starting with a base fee of €80m.
Whether there would be bonuses on top of that or anything else to take it higher isn’t mentioned but it is made clear that Bayern will not reach the €100m figure that Daniel Levy and co. have requested.
Tottenham remain firm in their negotiations but are hamstrung by the fact that Kane’s contract expires in 2024 and they would prefer to not lose him on a free at that point.
Thus, a move to Bayern is ‘getting closer’ as a result, with previous reports making it clear that Kane already has an agreement in place with Bayern and it is now a case of them and Spurs working out the
