With injuries plaguing their secondary, the New York Giants added a pair of insurance bodies on Wednesday, signing cornerbacks Azizi Hearn and Ekow Boye-Doe to their practice squad.
Art Stapleton of USA TODAY was the first to report the transactions.
The 6-foot-1, 204-pound Hearn was originally signed by the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent out of UCLA in 2023.
In addition to the Raiders, the 25-year-old Hearn has also made pitstops with the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers, spending time on their respective practice squads. He has never taken a regular season snap in the NFL.
Boye-Doe, 25, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Kansas State following the 2023 NFL draft.
The 6-foot, 177-pound Boye-Doe has appeared in six career games, primarily on special teams, but has not registered any statistics. However, he did pick up a Super Bowl LVIII championship ring as a member of the Chiefs.
Both players will be eligible for elevation in Week 16 should the Giants need the help.
