“Brian Hartline. You just see what he has done, I feel like we’re just a broken record here. But ever since Jaime Ffrench decomitted from Alabama, there’s two schools that you’ve been hearing of — Ohio State and Florida State,” Parker said. “We heard about that last year in the 2024 cycle with Jeremiah Smith who is now two practices in as an Ohio State Buckeyes. Jaime Ffrench plays for South Florida Express, which Ohio State is very familiar with.
“I just see the production capabilities at Ohio State, what they have done in terms of development and what they are doing on the recruiting trail now. It’s hard for me to bet against Brian Hartline when there’s a five-star receiver from Florida that he really wants.”
The Ohio State Buckeyes have added another elite talent to their 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of 4-star wide receiver Jamie Ffrench. Hailing from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, Ffrench is widely regarded as one of the top pass-catchers in the nation and a game-changing offensive weapon.
Ffrench chose Ohio State over offers from top programs such as Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, solidifying the Buckeyes’ reputation as a powerhouse for developing elite wide receivers. “Ohio State’s receiver tradition speaks for itself,” Ffrench said. “The opportunity to be coached by Brian Hartline and play in an offense that showcases my abilities was something I couldn’t pass up.”
Standing at 6-foot-2 and boasting elite speed, precise route-running, and strong hands, Ffrench is a dynamic playmaker who has drawn comparisons to NFL stars. His commitment further strengthens Ohio State’s pipeline of top-tier wide receivers, joining a program that has produced recent standouts like Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Marvin Harrison Jr.
Head coach Ryan Day and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline continue to dominate the recruiting trail, with Ffrench’s commitment highlighting their ability to attract and develop premier talent.
Buckeye fans are already buzzing about the impact Ffrench will bring to Columbus, and he is expected to be a cornerstone of the 2025 class as Ohio State builds toward continued success.
