The New York Giants will keep Drew Lock in the starting quarterback position against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday if healthy.

On Monday, head coach Brian Daboll said that Lock is undergoing an MRI for an undisclosed injury but remains on the starting lineup as long as he’s able to suit up.

‘Drew Lock will start for the Giants against the Ravens if he’s healthy enough, Brian Daboll tells reporters. He’s going through tests,’ Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on X.

Lock started in New York’s two most recent losses to New Orleans and Dallas after splitting minutes with Tommy DeVito against Tampa Bay. The Giants are on the verge of losing their ninth straight game.

Over the weekend, the Giants suffered a heartbreaking defeat against the Saints when a potential game-tying field goal from Graham Gano was blocked as the clock expired.

To add salt to the 14-11 defeat, Lock was sent for X-rays after the game, with the Giants awaiting results.

The Giants’ catastrophic season has been synonymous with their struggles at the quarterback position, which has shuffled through three different players.

On November 18, Jones was benched for DeVito due to his poor performances and ultimately parted ways with the team to join the Minnesota Vikings.

Lock earned the starting nod after DeVito suffered an injury and remains the primary option despite DeVito being well enough to compete. Still, neither has done enough to lead the Giants back to the winning column.

In five appearances this season, Lock has completed 46 of 90 attempts for zero touchdowns and two interceptions while getting sacked nine times.

On the other hand, DeVito appeared in two games and completed 21 of 31 for 189 yards. He also failed to clock in a touchdown and got sacked four times without interceptions.

The Giants are 2-11 this season with four games left in their schedule. They will face an 8-5 Ravens team fresh off a bye week after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles.
