When you’re a WR1 playing in the National Football League, you shouldn’t quite care about modesty. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. New York Giants’ first-round rookie Malik Nabers doesn’t seem to disagree.
Nabers, who just got taken off the injury report and is good to go on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, recently talked about his return to the field this weekend and showed his signature confidence in making an impact on the offense just by being out there.
“Just to get that player back out there, I’m a focal point when I’m out there,” Nabers told reporters. “The defense makes different calls when I’m out there. So, not having me, it made it a little bit harder for those guys. So, just having me out there, just the presence that I’m out there, knowing the defense knows I can make plays, it helps other guys make plays also.”
