Fulham make approach for Argentine midfielder – Whites looking at several options
The Brazilian media today reveals Fulham’s interest in Corinthians midfielder Fausto Vera.
The information comes from journalist Jorge Nicola, who says the Whites are one of the clubs who made an approach for the player.
With not much information, it’s said Sporting, Fulham and Fiorentina are the club who have made contact for the signing, and the minimum price to get him from Corinthians this summer is €10m.
The most interesting thing about this story is that it’s mainly about Sporting’s chase for a new midfielder. It’s claimed that their priority is Fluminense star André, and in case they can’t get him, then they’ll turn their attentions to Vera.
An interesting aspect is that before these rumours about Vera, Fulham were one of the clubs linked to André. Back in January, it had even been claimed by the Brazilian media that the Whites made an offer for the player and struggled to take him away from the Rio de Janeiro side.
So perhaps after finding the same difficulty as Sporting, Marco Silva’s side also moved for the same alternative.

‘What a player’: Max Kilman and Pedro Neto react to news coming out of Wolves
Raul Jimenez has officially left Wolves and joined Fulham.
The 32-year-old has become the latest high-profile exit at Molineux, moving to the Cottagers in a £5.5 million deal.
A departure for Jimenez has been on the cards for weeks.
Manager Julen Lopetegui barely played him in the last couple of months of last season, and left him out of multiple matchday squads.
Although he did want to retain him, the decision was made to sell. Wolves are still trying to balance the books at the moment.
Jimenez will now seek to score some goals for Fulham and try to get back on track.
It is the end of an era at Wolves – and a couple of players have already sent messages to Jimenez on social media…
Wolves stars send messages to Raul Jimenez as he completes Fulham move
Wolves and Fulham announced the transfer late last night at around 10.30pm, after Wolves had beaten FC Porto 1-0 in pre-season friendly.
Several players have now sent messages to Mexico international Jimenez.
He has shared a few to his Instagram Story.
Pedro Neto, who got the only goal against Porto, uploaded a couple of pictures of the pair. On one, he wrote ‘It was a pleasure to crack. What a player and a great person’. On the other, he added ‘Be happy, machine, always rooting for you’.
Max Kilman echoed those sentiments, writing ‘What a player’.
End of an era at Wolves
So Jimenez departs Wolves and it really is the end of an era at the club.
He was a fantastic player for the club, and played a huge role in Wolves’ brilliant first couple of seasons after being promoted to the Premier League.
He, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Conor Coady and Adama Traore were all hugely influential, and now they’re all gone.
Undoubtedly, Jimenez was one of the best strikers in the Premier League before his awful head injury.
He was a fantastic all-round player and Wolves really miss that version of him.
Given his struggles in the last season, it probably was the right time for him to move on, and Wolves must now seek out a replacement.
