Official: Mamelodi Sundowns unveil Bafana Bafana international Iqraam Rayners
Mamelodi Sundowns have officially unveiled the Bafana Bafana international striker Iqraam Rayners from Stellenbosch FC.
News of Rayners joining the Premier Soccer League giants broke a few weeks ago after Sundowns activated his buyout clause with Stellenbosch.
As expected, the Chloorkop-based outfit announced Rayners as their new player on Wednesday afternoon.
Rayners becomes the fifth player to join Sundowns during this current transfer window as they seek to defend their PSL title and challenge for the Caf Champions League.
Masandawana have signed four players before Rayners, namely Kobamelo Kodisang, Arthur Sales, Kegan Johannes, and Asekho Tiwani.
Rayners will be hoping for a successful future with Sundowns. He will be directly competing with the likes of Peter Shalulile and Sales.
The pacy striker will not be eligible to play against Stellies this evening in the MTN8 semi-final clash as he already appeared in his former side’s colours in this year’s top eight.
