Pink Floyd Pushes Two Beloved Albums Back To The Same Chart–As Several Others Soar

Pink Floyd’s music is popular the world over, but it’s likely that the band is most successful in the U.K. The rock group regularly appears on a number of charts in their home country, including this week, as several of their full-lengths return to the same ranking…joining a number of other bestsellers.

This week, Pink Floyd occupies four spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. The tally features 40 spaces, and the band claims 10% of those. Two of them are owned by titles that have been present for a while, and the other pair are filled by popular efforts that return to the list.

The Wall ranks as the highest return from Pink Floyd on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this week. That set blasts back onto the ranking of the bestselling full-lengths in the rock and metal genre at No. 22.

Meanwhile, Animals almost didn’t make the cut. That title lands at No. 39 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums tally—in second-to-last place.

Pink Floyd’s two holdovers are both performing very well, and even managing to rise this week. The Dark Side of the Moon lifts one space, landing at No. 4. Wish You Were Here is nearing the top 10 again, as it pushes from No. 15 to No. 14.

Among the four titles mentioned, two have previously ruled the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Both The Dark Side of the Moon and Animals have hit No. 1 on this ranking in the past. Wish You Were Here has also cracked the top 10, stopping its climb at No. 3. The Wall has only surged as high as No. 19.
