L7 Announce First New Album in 20 Years

L7 have announced their first new album since 1999. They’ve launched a PledgeMusic campaign and are taking pre-orders for the yet-untitled February 2019 release. “We’ve had such a blast hanging out, writing, and recording with each other again that we decided to keep the ball rolling,” the band said in a statement.

L7 are offering up several gifts in exchange for pledges, including vocalist Donita Sparks’ recording microphone, a signed limited edition 7” of their recent single “I Came Back To Bitch,” vintage and rare L7 vinyl, and a signed turntable from the 1994 “Andres” video. In the lead-up to the album’s release, L7 will be embarking on a tour. Check out their full itinerary on their website.

Last year, L7 returned with their first new song in 18 years, “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago.” In 2016, they were the subjects of a Sarah Price-directed documentary, Pretend We’re Dead. Read “After 18 Years, How Do L7 Return? With a Song About Trashing Trump’s Mar-a-Lago” on the Pitch.
