Kings Players Who Departed in Free Agency
Now that the dust has settled on free agency, the Los Angeles Kings have bid farewell to the players who have signed elsewhere.
The Kings had four players who left the organization and signed with other teams.
The biggest-named player to leave the organization was Matt Roy, who signed with the Washington Capitals.
After six years with the Kings, he inked a contract for $34.5 million over six ($5.75 AAV).
Victor Arvidsson also left the Kings’ organization and signed with one of their biggest rivals, the Edmonton Oilers.
After spending three years with the Kings, he has opted to leave and signed a two-year, $8 million deal ($4 million AAV).
Cam Talbot is also leaving the Kings’ organization after joining them last season on a team-friendly deal with the Detroit Red Wings.
Talbot will likely be part of a tandem with the Red Wings after inking a two-year, $5 million ($2.5 million AAV).
Lastly, Blake Lizotte has found a new home with the Pittsburgh Penguins. After spending six seasons with the Kings, he was left unqualified.
Lizotte was able to land a two-year $3.7 million deal that carries an AAV of $1.85 million per season.
Good luck to all those leaving the Kings organization!
