Two words served as relief for the Giants as head coach Brian Daboll on Thursday provided an update on the health of offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor.

“Nothing serious,” Daboll said.

Just like that, the Giants could breathe easier.
Eluemunor, who is the starting right tackle for the Giants, was injured early in his first practice of the training camp on Wednesday when he unintentionally touched big nose tackle Dexter Lawrence. Daboll remarked, “Anybody Dex hits gets sore from that.”

Eluemunor stayed down on the field on all fours before walking off the field with trainers.

He came out of the contact with Lawrence with soreness on his right side, in the area of his ribs.

Eluemunor took to his X account on Wednesday night to post “all good.”

He was able to take part in individual drills during Thursday’s morning practice.

Eluemunor, an eight-year veteran, was the starting right tackle for the Raiders in 2023. He was signed this summer to a two-year contract worth $14 million. Eluemunor is starting at right tackle instead of left guard this spring because Evan Neal is still healing from ankle surgery and is on the physically unable to perform list.
