Lee earned gold, silver and bronze medals during her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

Lee‘s journey to Paris
Evidently, it has been a tough road to this point for Lee and she spoke to Forbes about her condition and how hard it has been.
“I still take every day as it comes,” Lee said. “Some days I wake up, and I have to deal with how I’m feeling that day. For Paris, it’s always the same: nothing more, nothing less.
“Being a gymnast means that your body has to cooperate with you. The nature of my illness is that I never know what each new day holds. There were so many times when I wanted to quit because I thought my health wouldn’t allow me to do this again.
” I’ve fought so hard for this, and I hope I can inspire others going through tough situations.”
Lee and the U.S. Olympic Team will begin with Women’s Qualifications on July 28.
