Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea City and Oxford United are keen on signing Myles Peart-Harris on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The Championship trio have all made enquiries to Brentford about the midfielder’s availability for a loan deal.

Peart-Harris, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth as he helped the club clinch promotion from League One.

His contract is set to expire next summer, although Brentford have the option to extend the deal for a further year should he impress on loan.

Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea and Oxford make moves to sign Myles Peart-Harris from Brentford

Peart-Harris joined Brentford from Chelsea in 2021, as he put pen to paper on a deal worth £1.4million to make the switch across West London.

Since the move, he has made just seven appearances for the Bees, spending a season away on loan at Forest Green Rovers in 2022-23 before his spell with Portsmouth last season.

During his time at Fratton Park, the attacking midfielder scored two goals in 12 appearances, lifting the League One winners’ trophy.

Having proved his worth in the third tier, Championship clubs are now keen to hand Peart-Harris the opportunity to make the step up the divisions.

Both Wednesday and Oxford are looking to strengthen their options in a bid to avoid relegation next season, with the former having survived while the latter were promoted last time out.

Swansea, meanwhile, are keen to back Luke Williams while building for the future to improve on their mid-table finish.

He will be eyeing an eventual return to Brentford to feature in the Premier League, and will look to impress out on loan to catch the eye of his parent club.

The possibility remains that he could be allowed to leave Brentford for free next summer should the club opt against the one-year extension.
