The Kentucky Wildcats have picked up another big-time commitment in the class of 2025.

On Wednesday, 4-star recruit Kalen Edwards announced his pledge to Kentucky via Twitter. This comes after he officially visited Lexington on June 21st. His lead recruiters were defensive coordinator Brad White and defensive line coach Anwar Stewart.

“I really love [the relationship with coach Stewart]. I feel like he could really develop me and get me to the next level. It was all love. When I got there, it was just straight love from the beginning since I stepped in the door. He was cool. He kept it real,” Edwards said in an interview with CatsPause.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Edwards hails from Dyersburg High School in Tennessee. He’s currently ranked 342nd nationally, 38th among defensive linemen, and 10th in the state of Tennessee at 247 Sports Composite, which factors in all the major recruiting rankings. He’s set to play defensive tackle at the collegiate level.

Among Edwards’ other scholarship offers were the Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Tennessee Volunteers, Ole Miss Rebels, and Oregon Ducks. He was previously committed to the Auburn Tigers but decommitted in March.

This brings Kentucky’s 2025 class to 16 commitments. It’s now ranked 18th overall by 247 and 20th by On3.
