Michigan Wolverines news: A third commitment in a week, plus more

Michigan football landed another commitment on Saturday, plus more Michigan Wolverines news.

Michigan football has some serious momentum in the 2025 recruiting class and the Wolverines added to it on Saturday with the commitment of three-star running back Jasper Parker.

Parker was on campus for an official visit and reportedly committed to the Wolverines while eating a steak dinner with Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore.

There’s plenty to like about the commitment of Parker. Ohio State fans are mocking it, but they also mocked Michigan football when Jim Harbaugh signed his contract extension and how did that work out for them?

Parker is ranked No. 440 overall. He’s explosive and is out of Marrero, Louisiana and is ranked 32nd among running backs in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. If the Wolverines can pair him with a blue-chip commitment, that would be an impressive haul, especially because Parker isn’t that far from being ranked as a composite four-star recruit.

Still, watch his highlights and check out the offer sheet which includes Alabama, Oregon, USC, Tennessee, Miami, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Texas A&M, and many others and Michigan football fans should feel good about this commitment.

Semaj Morgan changes number to zero

Michigan Wolverines fans will remember Mike Sainristil dominating last season wearing the number zero. Hopefully, Semaj Morgan can too — on offense. Morgan, who wore No. 82 last season for the Michigan football team, announced that he’s changing his number to zero.
