Fulham prepare new Morato bid

Fulham aren’t admitting defeat in their quest to sign Benfica centre back player and are ready to increase their offer to around £21.5m, according to an A Bola report this evening.

Today’s O Jogo revealed that the Whites were keen to test the Eagles’ desire to hold onto their highly-rated Brazilian defender after seeing a second official offer worth in excess of £18m rejected. Benfica view the 22 year-old as the future of their back four after Morato helped them win the league title this term and are demanding somewhere to close to the young prospect’s astonishing £85m release clause to do a deal.

The ball-playing centre back, who Marco Silva sees the natural replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo should he leave Craven Cottage this summer, still has four years to run on his current contract. Fulham will be willing to go in order to break the impasse as the Cottagers covet defensive reinforcements ahead of the new campaign

Aleksandar Mitrovic rocks Fulham by confirming desire to leave for Saudi Arabia

leksandar Mitrovic has told Fulham he wants to join Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal.

Mitrovic has been offered a chance to triple his £120,000-a-week wages and believes the opportunity is too good to turn down.

His desire to leave Craven Cottage this summer has rocked Fulham, who have made it clear they do not want to lose the 28-year-old striker.

Fulham rejected a second bid from Al Hilal, believed to be worth around £34million, last week but the Saudi Arabian club are set to make a fresh approach.

Mitrovic was Fulham’s top scorer last season, scoring 15 goals in all competitions, and losing him would be a major blow to Cottagers boss Marco Silva.
