Dallas Cowboys would be in serious jeopardy if Dak Prescott had an unfortunate incident.

Mosley: I believe you ought to pay close attention to Rod Smith. Alfred and [Darren] McFadden are locked in if they are on the roster when the season opens. I don’t think they will succeed together. That Hall of Fame game was quite the run for Alfred. In the camp, they both look great. only reserves with veteran status. The Cowboys appear to have preferred McFadden to Zeke’s backup in the past. Again, though, Rod Smith sprints quickly. Keith Smith, at position 41, is a tool-type player.

Is Scott Linehan favoritizing Kellen Moore, or is Kellen Moore genuinely good?

Mosley: I think having Kellen in the quarterback room is a terrific idea. However, you wouldn’t want to play him for eight or nine games. Wade Wilson was questioned about it yesterday. He implied that Moore would be competitive with Luke McCown. That is doubtful in my opinion. If Dak is sidelined for a long time, the Cowboys will be in serious difficulty. Might they go to the NBC booth instead? Jerry could at least pick up the phone. However, I thought Tony appeared a bit puffed up during the ceremony.

Inquiry: Miami made the decision to give Jay Cutler, who had announced his retirement, $10 million for a single year. Can we now formally refer to this as Kaepernick being blackballed?

Mosley: It’s difficult for me to say anything so categorically, but if Colin Kaepernick hadn’t started his demonstrations, he would undoubtedly be on a team by now. That’s only my opinion. It becomes a bit absurd when the owner in Baltimore, my former employer Steve Bisciotti, is essentially surveying former players and supporters. I don’t believe it’s wise to be concerned about the possible blowback that signing Kaepernick would unleash. It’s not like people lost interest in the Mavericks because of their owner’s strong anti-Trump sentiment. For the Dolphins, [head coach Adam] Gase only has to trust, for whatever reason, in Cutler. He could be a better match for their offensive scheme. Kaepernick and Jim Harbaugh were in a special circumstance. Too bad Harbaugh’s final firing in San Francisco wasn’t for him.

When Jaylon Smith plays his first preseason game, what goals do you think he will accomplish?

Mosley: Yesterday, I studied Jaylon closely. On one specific practice, Ed Werder felt like he was “double-stepping”. His ability to detect run plays so fast truly amazed me. He simply has amazing intuition. That is still present. I simply don’t see how a man wearing that brace can play at this level. Really, it’s never been completed. However, Rod Marinelli stated on the Doomsday Podcast that Jaylon could be unique enough to complete the task.

Is Jerry now inducted into the Hall of Fame? Do you think a Zeke ruling will occur soon?

Mosley: You would assume that. With the remarks made by Cris Carter yesterday, there was a great deal of smoke. Roger Goodell then stated that no decisions had been made. I believe there has been a lot of conjecture because of how long the NFL has taken. It seems likely that the NFL will discipline someone at this point. However, it was incredible to watch Jerry use his Canton platform to reiterate Zeke’s innocence of domestic abuse.
