Simon Jordan reacts unexpectedly to Evangelos Marinakis’ claim.

Nottingham Forest news via Nottingham shireLive, as Simon Jordan answers to Evangelos Marinakis’s major claim.

Pundit Simon Jordan believes Evangelos Marinakis will keep a promise made to Nottingham Forest fans during the summer.

Marinakis recently announced in an open letter to supporters that “we are on a path to re-establish Nottingham Forest as a dominant force in English football.”

Jordan responded on talkSPORT when asked if Marinakis was being realistic: “Why not? It depends on what you define by “dominant force.” Does it imply a very competitive team in the league or league dominance? Because it will be a very difficult task to surpass Manchester City.

Nottingham Forest news as Steve Cooper’s Reds reflect on their Premier League debut.

Nottingham Forest can look back on a successful start to the season as they enjoy a holiday over the international break.

Steve Cooper’s team entered the two-week break with their first away win since January, thanks to Anthony Elanga’s goal against Chelsea. The home game against Burnley on September 18 cannot come soon enough for fans.

The vacation will also give the Reds’ new recruits time to adjust to their new surroundings. Forest finished the window with plenty of depth after adding seven new players on transfer deadline day, bringing their total number of summer acquisitions to 13.

When Reds reporter Sarah Clapson hosted a live Q&A on our Forest Facebook page, there was no shortage of topics to discuss. This is how it turned out.
